A new document risks worsening Barcelona 's situation regarding its relationship with the former number two of the Spanish Technical Refereeing Committee.
Barcelona Case, a New Fax from Negreira Gets the Club Into Trouble
The newspaper El Mundo today published a fax sent by José María Enríquez Negreira to the Catalan club, in which he warned that they cannot stop paying him "after so many years of relationship, so many favors rendered and so many confidences shared."
In the document, the former number two referee also specifies that he has always received direct “instructions” from various presidents of Barça, including the current one , “Mr Laporta ”.

The fax is dated December 3, 2018 , before the one revealed by El Mundo , which effectively sparked the scandal. In the fax, Negreira recalls that "since 2003 he has adapted his club to the needs of FC Barcelona ," also responding to former presidents Rosell and Bartomeu.
Declaring himself surprised by the non-payment of several invoices, the former number two of the Spanish referees ordered the club to proceed with the payment of the outstanding amounts "within 10 working days" , for which he provided an account number.
Finally, Negreira 's lawyer believes it is "imperative to reach a positive and constructive agreement." This will "avoid greater harm and undesirable consequences for both parties."
