The American singer wins another 4 GRAMMYs, bringing her total to a record 32. The Oscars of Music once again reward the queen of pop, who, in the ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, becomes the most celebrated artist of all time, surpassing the 31 GRAMMYs won by conductor Georg Solti, who died in 1997.

Harry Styles won with “Harry's House,” while jazz singer Samara Joy won the award for best new artist of the year, beating Italian band Maneskin.

Lizzo won the GRAMMY for Record of the Year (“About Damn Time”) and 73-year-old Bonnie Raitt won the GRAMMY for Song of the Year (“Just Like That,” a folk song about a heart transplant). Adele also won the Best Pop Performance category with “Easy Me.”

No American triumph for Maneskin, beaten in the “emerging” category, where they had received a nomination, yet another recognition for the Roman rock band. But it was still a record-breaking night for the American music Oscars, full of firsts. Beyonce became the artist with the most Grammys in history. Kim Petras became the first transgender woman to win an award. Former One Direction member, English singer Harry Styles won the “album of the year” award with “Harry's House”.

The music Oscars never disappoint, and that was the case this time too, in the extraordinary setting of the Crypto Arena, the Los Angeles home of the Lakers and Clippers basketball teams. This time, it was the people who made history, not the clothes, even though the most sober was the bare-chested gold suit worn by Dwayne Johnson, who took the stage to announce the victory for Adele's 'solo pop performance' of the song "Easy on Me".

And then various moments of show that have made history. The performance of Steve Wonder and Smokey Robinson, the catwalk of the greatest of hip hop, fifty years of music, led by Ice-T, Public Enemy, Nelly, Queen Latifah, RUN-DMC, Missy Elliott and the young stars Lil Baby and GloRilla.

The standing ovation for America's first lady, Jill Biden, who went up on stage to announce the award to the little-known Iranian pop singer, author of the song "Baraye", which became the protest anthem of the Iranian movement. But, as per tradition, the Grammy night was above all that of awards and big winners: with the album "Renaissance", in the category "best dance/electronic music", Beyonce' won her 32nd Grammy, surpassing the record of the conductor Georg Solti, who died in '97. At 41, the Texan singer is destined to extend her extraordinary record, also made up of 88 nominations in her career.

In her message from the stage, Beyoncé wanted to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.I would like to thank – he said, clutching the Grammy – the queer community for your love and for inventing a gender.”

On this evening, in the running with nine nominations, the singer had already overtaken Quincy Joenes, who was in second place with her with 28 Grammys. Now, with the fourth award, she has made history.

The evening's host, Trevor Noah, called her 'The Goat,' an acronym that stands for “Greatest of All Time.” “It's a fact - he said - it's officially a fact."

The message for the 'queers', as those who are part of the Lgbtq+ community and do not want to give a name to their gender identity or sexual orientation are called, united Beyonce with the other great protagonist of the evening: Kim Petras, symbol of the artistic dream stronger than prejudice, the German singer who became a full woman at 16, after a long battle in Germany to be able to start and complete her transition before the minimum age of 18 in Germany. Petras won the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with Sam Smith for the song "Unholy".

“I grew up next to a highway in the middle of nowhere – declared the singer – My mother believed in me, in the fact that I was a girl. And I wouldn't be here now if it weren't for her support."

Born in Cologne in 92, the daughter of a choreographer and an architect, she was born a boy but always felt like a girl. At thirteen, she appeared on a show in Germany where she talked about her gender transition, and then continued her battle to get the green light for surgery before she turned eighteen. After passing the exam by the psychiatry unit of the hospital in Frankfurt, Petras was able to announce the completion of her transition in November 2008.

Petras was then called on stage for her performance with Smith, and it was Madonna who announced it, who came on stage, clutching a whip, the sadomasochistic object that will probably accompany her on her next world tour. The director of pop, 64, on the scene since '79, celebrated Petras and all the people who have to fight with prejudice. "Here you are – said Madonna – what I’ve learned after four decades of music. If they call you shocking, scandalous, problematic, provocative or dangerous, you’re making it.”

“Your lack of fear - he added - it cannot go unnoticed”. For the Italian rock band Maneskin, there remains the satisfaction of having received the nomination in the “emerging” category, the award for which went to the young jazz singer Samara Joy.
