From March 1st to 5th, musical, sports and solidarity initiatives.
Following the resounding success of last year's biographical exhibition commemorating the tenth anniversary of his death (which will be repeated in Naples starting March 4th), Bologna is preparing to celebrate Lucio Dalla's eightieth birthday with "Lucio Ottanta," a series of events throughout the city scheduled for March 1st to 5th.
The event will kick off with the unveiling of a plaque on the artist's birthplace in Piazza Cavour and the historic plaque on the last house where Dalla lived and worked on Via D'Azeglio. On March 2nd, the Teatro Celebrazioni will host the first edition of "Ciao Rassegna Lucio Dalla per le forme innovativi di musica e creatività," a unique event showcasing new ideas and projects, dedicated to his extraordinary vision. This annual event celebrates musical innovation, during which the "Ballerino Dalla" award, inspired by the song "Balla balla ballerino," will be presented to emerging artists.
"Lucio Dalla - said the delegate for culture of the Municipality of Bologna, Elena Di Gioia - It creates a soundtrack of music, art, and affection for our city that we want to make permanent. We stand with the Lucio Dalla Foundation and its many partners during these days, with a polyphony of actions and activities, cultural and musical projects that will enrich the public space..

The usual guided tours of the singer's home are scheduled for March 3rd. From the 3rd to the 5th, Bologna will run and sing, remembering Lucio Dalla and awarding official medals for two races of 30 and 21 kilometers in the "Bologna Marathon 2023."
There will also be a book, "Il Parco della Luna," illustrated by Bolognese artist Sarah Mazzetti and published by Ciao Discoteca Italiana. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Fondazione Policlinico Sant'Orsola, which will dedicate a park to the young patients of the pediatric ward, a sort of fairytale oasis. The initiative will also be supported by a specially organized dinner on March 4th at the singer-songwriter's home. Also on the occasion of his XNUMXth birthday, the State of San Marino will pay tribute to Lucio Dalla with the issuance of a stamp.
