The Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office is investigating for voluntary homicide in relation to the discovery at sea yesterday afternoon of a body of a man with European features, apparently aged 35-40, on the beach , in the area of the seven cliffs .
This is what is contained in the file held by Public Prosecutor Giuliano Schippi , which is currently against unknown persons. The body was spotted yesterday afternoon by a fisherman, who immediately alerted law enforcement.
When the body was fished out, it was noted that there was a rope around his neck, to the end of which a large boulder was apparently fixed in an unsuccessful attempt to make him sink or at least simulate – according to the investigators – a suicide.
From the findings carried out by the doctor in charge, Antonio Sorrentino , it would have emerged that there were wounds to the head and arms which are not compatible with this hypothesis but rather with a fight, even if clearer elements should emerge from the autopsy, which will be carried out once the identity of the man has been traced, on whose wrist a tattoo composed of two letters (two Ms) was found.

According to initial investigations carried out on site immediately after the discovery, no more than 24 hours passed between the death and the discovery of the lifeless body.
They are not only searching the Torre area because with yesterday's rough seas the body could have also arrived from nearby towns such as Castellammare and Torre del Greco.
