The city of Caserta is preparing to once again welcome the filming of some scenes from the new series of “My Brilliant Friend,” the highly successful Rai fiction based on the novels by Elena Ferrante.
The final season, the fourth, will be based on the book “Storia della bambina perduta” which closes the story of the adventures of the two protagonists, Lenù and Lila. Filming will take place this time in the city center from Wednesday 1 to Thursday 2 March.
The production company Fremantle Media Italia, which produces the series co-financed by Rai Fiction and the American giant HBO, asked and obtained permission from the Municipality of Caserta to film in the heart of the capital.
The main actors will still be Alba Rohrwacher in the role of Elena Greco (Lenù), Irene Maiorino in the role of Lila Cerullo and Fabrizio Gifuni in the role of Nino Sarratore. At the moment there is no news regarding possible casting for extras.
To allow filming, the Palazzo Castropignano authority has ordered some changes to the road signs through ordinance no. 64 of 13/02/23 signed by the Commander of the Municipal Police Luigi De Simone.
For scenic needs, the flower boxes will be removed from Piazza Dante on filming days. Fremantle Media Italia vehicles will be allowed to transit, park and unload goods in the area affected by the ZTL.
As regards Corso Trieste, between via Gasparri and Piazza Dante, a parking ban with removal by tow truck has been established, valid for all categories of users, on the right side of the current direction of travel. Along the same stretch, traffic suspension has also been planned, but only for short periods of time according to filming needs.
As for via Battisti – from number 1 to Piazza Generale Amico – on March 1st and 2nd there will be a parking ban with removal. It will still be possible to park for citizens in possession of the coupon dedicated to disabled people at the La Reggia pharmacy.
