Starting tomorrow, Caserta will once again become a film set. Some areas of the city, as has been the case for several years now, will host filming for the TV series "My Brilliant Friend," based on Elena Ferrante's novels.
"Our city has been the protagonist of one of the greatest cinematic successes of our time, and this was possible thanks to the synergy between local institutions and the production company, through a long organizational process that saw us emerge as the best place to host an international film crew.", the Municipality of Caserta reports. The set in the provincial capital of Campania is one of the largest in Europe: a six-hectare area where the abandoned factory in the former Ucar area once stood.

"We will start from this - explains the municipal administration - To create much more, because what has been happening in Caserta in recent years and is about to happen again in the coming days is only the beginning of a process of cultural and artistic enhancement on the one hand, and economic enhancement on the other. The organizational machinery of a majestic project like "My Brilliant Friend" has created revenue for our merchants, hoteliers, and restaurateurs, and our city has been featured in in-depth articles in international magazines and newspapers.. In the next few days the set will be set up in the heart of the historic center of the city, in Piazza Dante and in the surrounding streets.
