Two women killed in the last hours in Riposto, a small town north of Catania, near Giarre and the murderer killed himself in front of the barracks.
The Carabinieri found the body of the man who committed suicide with the same weapon used to take the lives of the two victims: a 43-year-old found dead around 9 am on the Pantano seafront, inside a car; and a 50-year-old, seriously injured on the street, in Via Roma, and then deceased, who was found about an hour and a half later.
With one of the women, according to reports, the killer had a relationship; perhaps with the other as well, as investigators are trying to verify, busy reconstructing the dynamics and motive.
One victim was found inside her car, with a gunshot wound to the head. The other woman was shot in the body in another area of the small town known for its tourist port.
The Carabinieri are currently reconstructing the dynamics of the events.
The two murders apparently occurred within a certain time frame: the first victim was the 43-year-old found in her car on the Pantano seafront, the second was the 49-year-old woman who was fatally wounded on Via Roma.
The body of the first victim was inside a car. In a different area of the town, another woman was found seriously injured on the ground, shot.
The second one was fatally wounded as soon as she got out of her car, a Fiat Panda, which was hit by gunshots. The victim collapsed on the pavement. Her dog, a poodle, remained in the car.
