Fausta Vetere in concert is scheduled for Saturday, March 4th at 8:30 pm, and Michele Cafaggi's "Ouverture des saponettes" (Soap Bubbles Overture) for children and families on Sunday, March 5th at 5 pm. Events are organized by Casa del Contemporaneo and Le Nuvole.
“E te dico core core…” is the title that Fausta Vetere has chosen for the recital with which on Saturday 4 March – starting at 20:30 pm – from the stage of the TK in Castellammare di Stabia she will retrace her artistic career: from the meeting with Maestro De Simone to the most recent period characterized by pieces written for her by various authors. With her also the guitar of Umberto Maisto. The appointment is the first of two events proposed over the weekend as part of the extensive program curated by Casa del Contemporaneo and Le Nuvole “coltivare arte” which also looks to the audience of the youngest (3+) and families with the soap bubble concert “Ouverture des saponettes” brought on stage by Michele Cafaggi on the afternoon of Sunday 5 March starting at 17 pm.
“The meeting with Maestro De Simone opened up to me the vision of a Neapolitan musical history different from the one we knew” – Fausta Vetere reports in a note – “A world that brought to light a secret history of the Neapolitan city, outside of stereotypes, that drew from the sources of that music that over the centuries has made it famous and well-known: not only leaders or viceroys but above all those who have passed without a name”. The repertoire proposed to the public, therefore, will range from ancient villenelle to tammurriate, from moresche to tarantellas, to which are added songs, never sung before, of the classic Neapolitan song brought back to the simplicity and lightness of the past. The unifying element of these two worlds, however distant from each other, will be the voice, which becomes a unifier of the thought and history of a city, certainly the mother of the culture of the Mediterranean.
Mime, clown and juggler Michele Cafaggi – one man show already known to the television audience for his participation in the program “Tu si ques vales” as well as being known as Doctor Dream in the pediatric wards where the Theodora Onlus Foundation operates – describes his show as “a visual and musical story, without words that draws inspiration from circus and variety atmospheres. An evocative show that will lead the audience to enter – literally in some cases – into the fragile and round world of soap bubbles for a concert where the unexpected is always lurking”. An artistic performance of clowning, pantomime and music that, created for the little ones, ends up enchanting the audience of all ages.
