Blitz by the Carabinieri of the company of Giugliano in Campania who – in a series of searches aimed at finding weapons and drugs – found and seized a hunting rifle with a shortened barrel and erased serial number, 9 20-gauge cartridges, a balaclava and latex gloves.
The weapon and all the seized material were found in a gym bag stored inside a warehouse in the Palmentiello district used by Domenico Fuso, a 38-year-old local already known to the police. The man was arrested and will have to answer for possession of a clandestine weapon.
The rifle and the seized objects – usually used in robberies and thefts – will be subjected to the necessary checks to verify their use in bloody acts or other crimes.
