Napoli and Eintracht Frankfurt are on the eve of their Champions League round of 16 clash : tomorrow, the Neapolitans travel to Germany to play the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie . Coach Oliver Glasner and striker Mario Gotze spoke at a press conference.
Glasner: “Napoli anti-Italian, team that plays intense football”
“ Napoli is a team that doesn’t play Italian football, theirs is anti-Italian football,” Glasner complimented the Azzurri, with the coach at the same time taking a vaguely polemical dig at the way of playing that in his opinion characterises football in Italy.
“Napoli ,” the German coach explained in a press conference, “ always have great intensity. They play very aggressively without the ball, pressing high and counter-pressing very intensely.
They have a very different way of playing from other Italian teams. It's something we know and we've prepared for it."
“However ,” adds Glasner , “ they also have some weaknesses and this can help us, it gives us opportunities.
My players are very focused and I hope they will be able to put my suggestions into practice. I am very confident and the players give me the impression of being so too."
Gotze: “Our first time, we are excited.

Mario Gotze , the hero of the 2014 World Cup final, is thrilled to be playing in such a crucial match. "It's our first time in the Champions League round of 16 ," he says, " and we deserved it by playing a fantastic group. Now we want to enjoy this match in front of an exceptional crowd."
“Our fans ,” concludes the German striker, “ will certainly help us.
We have a lot of experience and we know that even if you go down in the score you can always change the course of the match. We are aware of the difficulties of these two games with Napoli, but they do not worry us.
We are excited, we can't wait to play."
