The search for Marco Raduano, the forty-year-old mafia boss from Vieste who escaped last night from the maximum security prison of Badu' e Carros in Nuoro, has also begun in the Gargano and Foggia areas.
Raduano managed to escape by lowering himself from the prison wall with sheets. Immediately after his escape, a manhunt began in Sardinia, with checks and roadblocks also at ports and airports.
Manhunt also started in the Foggia area and, in particular, in the Gargano where the fugitive could find help and protection. Raduano on February 3rd had been sentenced, definitively, to 19 years of imprisonment for criminal association for drug trafficking, aggravated by the mafia method.
Raduano is also involved in the murder of Giuseppe Silvestri, a member of the Gargano mafia clan Li Bergolis-Miucci-Lombardone, who was murdered on March 21, 2017. Matteo Lombardi is accused of the crime. According to revelations from a repentant, Raduano was also with Lombardi.
