Muscle problem, Insigne leaves the pitch in tears
Not only the defeat on the pitch against Wayne Rooney 's DC United : the former Napoli captain and playmaker was forced to be substituted after just 30 minutes of play due to a muscle problem.
Insigne left the pitch in tears with the score at 1-0, assisted by medical staff amidst the worried looks of his teammates. The match ultimately ended 3-2 in favor of the home team.
Coach Bradley: “Lower thigh problem”
Toronto coach and sporting director Bob Bradley admitted post-match that Insigne “felt something in his lower thigh and was unable to continue ,” as reported by the official MLS website.
