The decision was reportedly prompted by a racially discriminatory insult that a spectator hurled at him from the stands immediately after the visitors' equaliser, which came from a penalty.

Referee Cissé known for his social commitment

Team officials reported that the referee's appointment was sudden, without notifying the captains. Cissé filled out his report and left the facilities without speaking to the referee observer.

The Treviso Sports Judge will decide on the result of the match and any sanctions . Cissé , born in 1987 in Guinea , has belonged to the Treviso Aia section since 2016. He is also known for his social commitment to the children of Guinea.
