After the Italian concerts last July, Taylor Kirk, the mind and heart of the Timber Timbre project, will return to our country again but as a trio before the release of his new album “Loveage”.
The shows, which promise to be special and unmissable, will feature an excellent open act, singer-songwriter Joseph Martone who, with his band, will play excerpts from the album “Honey birds” (FreakHouse records, 2020) written and artistically produced by Taylor Kirk himself.
Martone draws sounds and rhythms from both cultures to create his unique musical style. His songs are honest, often painful explorations of his childhood and adolescence spent between Italy and the United States.
The debut solo album was recorded in Naples and Montreal with top musicians, engineers and his long-time collaborator Ned Crowther (The Fernweh, Smokey Angle Shades). The themes and sounds of the record take a darker and more reflective direction than his previous work with Travelling Souls and project Martone's artistic emotionality into elegantly introspective environments.
There will be no shortage of last-minute surprises, such as the performance of unreleased songs written for Martone's second album, which he will begin recording once again with Kirk in the coming weeks, and which will be released next fall.
