The 'ndrangheta killer who escaped from Milan a few days ago and was captured in Sant'Anastasia was alone in front of the station waiting for a taxi.
He had the document of his brother who looks like him. Technical activities and web patrolling led to the capture of the man. Investigations are underway to determine where he came from and where he intended to go.
He also had money, a USB stick and two smartphones.
At the time of his arrest, he had with him several 50-euro notes, computer flash drives, a wallet, two cell phones and holy cards. The fugitive had broken his electronic bracelet and disappeared at the end of last month.
He was in pre-trial detention for the murder of a 'ndrangheta boss, Vincenzo Femia, which occurred in Rome in 2013. He had also already been sentenced to 30 years for the murder of the carabiniere Renato Lio which occurred in Soverato, Calabria, in 1991.
Sestito had been under house arrest for several weeks by decision of the Court of Appeal of the Capital. In October 2021, his life sentence was confirmed in the second degree.

Roberto Occhiuto, president of the Calabria Region, said this in a note.
'Ndrangheta killer Massimiliano Sestito was captured in the province of Naples by the Carabinieri of Milan and their Neapolitan colleagues. The fifty-one-year-old had escaped from house arrest in Pero, near Milan, on January 30th. The fugitive was tracked down and captured by the military at the Circumvesuviana station in Sant'Anastasia, in the province of Naples.
