That's what happens to Marano of Naples where a resident, after having documented the situation of the spills, including construction material, exposed the issue to the deputy of the Green-Left alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
“This is a country road in Marano di Napoli where these criminals dump all sorts of waste, polluting nature, and the municipality doesn’t install cameras to catch those damned people,” the whistleblower said.
"We have alerted the prefectural commissioners and the Environmental Police about this situation that must be resolved. In that area, as in all the others at risk of spills, video traps must be installed to trap, identify and discourage polluters. The phenomenon is constantly expanding and the environmental damage resulting from it is increasingly evident, so the time has come to repress it with strong measures. We must change the regulations and provide for much more severe sanctions and sentences for those who commit environmental crimes." - declared Borrelli.
