The military blitz involved the neighboring municipalities of Marcianise and Capodrise, where the four suspects lived, a mother and three daughters, all of whom ended up in prison. Lucia Cozzolino, the oldest of the three, lived in an apartment on Via Verga in Marcianise with her daughter Sonia; her other daughter Emanuela lived with her husband Antonio and two small children on Via Napoli in Capodrise; children who, given their age, followed their mother to prison.
Then there was Cozzolino's third daughter, Anna, who was also arrested. A drug dealing activity that the four women - all with previous drug convictions - continued even after the death of the woman's husband; indeed, even on the day of the funeral, it emerged from the investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, the drug dealing continued.

The person who supplied cocaine to the female dealers also ended up in prison: 61-year-old Francesco Castaldo, a prominent figure in Caivano, where he operates in the well-known “piazza” of Parco Verde, and brother of the boss Pasquale Castaldo, known as “o farano”, killed in September 2003 in a Camorra ambush in a bar in Caivano.
With such an important “hook”, the three women always had cocaine available, and they would bring the clients up to their homes; but to avoid that once they left their apartments, the consumers could be stopped by the police with the drugs on them, they had the cocaine consumed at home, even in front of small children.

The investigation began precisely from numerous reports from citizens who noticed a heavy coming and going of people in the apartments of the three women. Today, during the execution of the orders, the carabinieri seized 5500 euros in cash, 43 grams of cocaine and a hundred grams of marijuana and hashish.
