Marco Mengoni wins the record-breaking Sanremo Festival

Marco Mengoni triumphs at the 73rd edition of the Sanremo Festival with the song “Due vite”.

The artist from Ronciglione beat Lazza – who placed second – and Mr. Rain (third). “I dedicate this award to all the women who participated,” said Mengoni, visibly moved and emotional.

The final – hosted by Amadeus quater accompanied by Gianni Morandi as entertainer – opened with the performance of the Italian National Anthem by the Air Force Band, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
