The officers of the Scampia territorial department, working together with the local health authority, intervened following reports of nuisance emissions coming from a residential building in the Miano area.
The inspection made it possible to discover the illicit activity of a laundry carried out without any authorization and whose industrial wastewater was released into the sewer without authorization in violation of the art. 124 of the current environmental code.
For administrative violations, sanctions were applied for failure to register in the business register, failure to notify certified start of business – Scia and failure to submit a health Scia.
The washing operations in progress at the time of the inspection could not be attributed to any client since, as stated in the note from Palazzo San Giacomo, "the entire supply chain was undeclared, so the transporters of the clothes and the company's customers, presumably belonging to the restaurant and hotel tourism reception circuit, remain unknown at the moment".
The seals were placed on the room of approximately 50 mXNUMX and on the equipment, consisting of industrial washing machines and dryers.
