A two-month-old baby was pulled out of the rubble of the earthquake that struck Turkey after 128 hours, the Turkish agency Anadolu reported.

The death toll from two powerful earthquakes measuring 7.8 and 7.6 on February 6th that struck southern Turkey and northern Syria has reached nearly 26, while rescue operations have continued for over five days.

The so-called “White Helmets”, the civil defence organisation that operates in the earthquake-stricken areas not controlled by the Damascus regime, said yesterday that there were no indications of survivors under the rubble and announced the completion of the search and rescue operations and the transition to the search and recovery phase.
