Luciano Moggi , former Juventus manager who was expelled over the Calciopoli scandal , spoke to LaPresse about the news that the Federal Prosecutor 's Office has opened an investigation into his presence on the sidelines during the Primavera championship match between Napoli and Juventus.
Moggi: “I was talking on the sidelines with Pessotto, Chinè was spiteful”
"I live in Naples and I read that there was this match between Napoli and Juventus. I went to Cercola with two friends, who are witnesses and whom I will cite, and since I'm not familiar with the pitch, I asked the attendant who let me go to the sidelines ," Moggi said.
“On the sidelines, I met Pessotto , whom I greeted warmly because he was a former player of mine. We talked about our past, nothing extraordinary. Chinè can't say I can't talk to someone, because that's stalking. They can't even stop me from talking ,” he continues.
“If I were in Gravina I would make Chinè pay the expenses”
"It's unclear why Chiné first sent a person from the prosecutor's office to Turin to speak with Pessotto, but didn't go to Naples to interview the janitor at that camp ," he continued. " If I were Gravina, I'd make him pay the full cost of sending someone to Turin, so he'd learn how to behave. Hate, in football but also in life, can lead to confusion."
The open investigation "demonstrates the weakness of the prosecutor's office ," Moggi added. " They don't even know what disbarment means. It means not being part of the federation's roles. How do I feel? These things are irrelevant; they don't catch me by surprise and don't bother me. With me, they've found someone who knows how to defend himself. What else can they do than disbar me, shoot me?" he concluded.
