A single digital ticket for admission to Sorrento's four museums: the Correale Museum, the Sorrento Experience Multimedia Museum, the Muta Museum and the Sorrento Foundation. It will be available starting March 21st, for €31, on the websites of the Municipality of Sorrento and the participating museums, on the okTicket.it platform, or at the info point in Piazza Torquato Tasso in Sorrento.

It will be valid for six months and will allow you to book any cultural site and change the date and time of your visit. These are, in short, the new features of the initiative, part of the newly formed "Sorrento Museums" network, presented this morning in the Torquato Tasso Hall of Sorrento's Town Hall, in the presence of operators and representatives of the main tourism industry associations.

"As the slogan of this communication campaign says, 'Culture creates networks' - began the mayor of Sorrento, Massimo Coppola - And cultural offerings are precisely one of the challenges our administration has taken up, working towards increasingly high-quality tourism development. Events, shows, concerts, demonstrations, and now Sorrento Museums are part of a comprehensive project that aims to make our city an increasingly important cultural attraction for Italian and international visitors.

"I thank the mayor for having coordinated and encouraged us in this initiative which sees the museums of Sorrento network to offer a complete offer to the many tourists who visit our town. - Gaetano Mauro, president of the Correale museum, spoke - This should be considered only a starting point for other joint cultural initiatives to be undertaken in the area. I'm confident that Sorrento Museums will increase the visibility of Sorrento's cultural network among private individuals, as well as the many local tour operators who will be able to include a cultural itinerary in their programs at a discounted price, even during the low season..

For Alfonso Iaccarino, CEO of the Sorrento Foundation The socioeconomic development of our region inevitably depends on promoting the vast cultural heritage that Sorrento has to offer. And today, in this sector, networking is even more important, allowing visitors to obtain special discounts and book through a dedicated platform, thus avoiding queues. Sorrento Museums is an initiative that goes precisely in this direction.

"The single ticket means turning Sorrento's museums into a hub of attraction and cultural interest of high international standing," emphasized Correale Museum Director Paolo Jorio. "In fact, connected museums can mark a turning point and openness to new audiences, particularly social groups traditionally excluded from cultural consumption. Networking facilitates the identification of solutions to truly bring people together and ensure effective learning experiences."

For Alessandro Fiorentino, founder of Muta, the Wooden Marquetry Museum and Workshop, the combined ticket represents "a first step in organizing and promoting the cultural excellence of Sorrento and the entire coast to the tourist market." Antonino Pane, founder of the Sorrento Experience Multimedia Museum, believes it is "an important step in introducing all guests staying in Sorrento to the history, art, and culture of our city. I hope that those in the sector will support us and promote this initiative."

Together, the four structures of the Sorrento Museums network constitute an unmissable stop for visitors. The Correale Museum (www.museocorreale.it), an ancient residence of Sorrentine nobles, with its park and terrace overlooking the sea, is made up of 4 floors that house rooms dedicated to Flemish painting, Neapolitan decorative arts from the XNUMXth to the XNUMXth century, porcelain from all over Europe, archaeological finds and one of the most important collections of paintings from the XNUMXth century Posillipo School.

Sorrento Experience (www.sorrentoexperiencemuseum.com) is Sorrento's first multimedia museum, offering an experience exploring the myths and legends of the Sorrento Peninsula, its history, culture, and centuries-old traditions, from the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Visitors will be immersed in the works of the artists who painted our beautiful landscapes and the songs of musicians and singers who loved Sorrento. The Museo Bottega della Tarsia Lignea (www.museomuta.it) tells the story of wood marquetry, an extremely complex and refined craft dating back to the 1300th century that has been elevated to the rank of pure artistic expression.

Here you can admire furniture, objects, tools, paintings, prints, photographs, and period documents, in a visual and emotional journey to discover this important Sorrento artisanal production. Finally, Villa Fiorentino (www.fondazionesorrento.com), inspired by the neo-colonial aesthetic of 19th-century America, is the headquarters of the Sorrento Foundation, located in the heart of Sorrento. Surrounded by the ancient viceregal walls and immersed in a garden of camellias, citrus trees, and walnut trees, the villa hosts the MAM, the Museum of Arts and Crafts, concerts, and temporary art exhibitions.
