With 100 votes out of 105, Maestro Gaetano Panariello was elected director of the “San Pietro a Majella” Conservatory of Music in Naples for the three-year period 2023-2026.

Voting concluded today, indicating the successor to Maestro Carmine Santaniello, who completed his mandate upon reaching retirement age. “I am proud of the very broad participation in the vote by the teachers of our Conservatory and their almost unanimous consensus, demonstration of a very high-profile and strongly shared and representative choice”, declared the president of the Conservatory Luigi Carbone.

“I express my most sincere wishes for good work to Maestro Gaetano Panariello. I am sure that his election will give further impetus to the development path that we have undertaken in recent months”. For his part, the outgoing director Carmine Santaniello stated: “I thank the teachers and staff of the Conservatory for the trust they have placed in me during my six years in office. Their collaboration has been crucial in achieving important results, not least the expansion of the staff, the start of restoration work and the return of concert series”.
