The web monitoring of the Carabinieri of the provincial command of Naples, in this case in the context of controls on national and foreign shipments, allowed the soldiers of the Neapolitan investigative unit to trace a suspicious package in a shipping center in Naples.
The package – seized – contained the cash sum of 185.645 euros and a Rolex Datejust watch.
From initial investigations it seems that the precious watch is the result of a robbery while investigations are underway by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit aimed at ascertaining the origin and destination of the package.
Two men with no criminal record, a 43-year-old and a 40-year-old from Naples, were reported for the crime of money laundering and receiving stolen goods. They were found to be the owners of the shipment and their income was disproportionate to the value of the goods seized.
