A counterfeit factory and over 100 illegally produced sports items, including Serie A football team shirts and caps, were seized.
This is the result of an operation by the Salerno Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) which, coordinated by the Nocera Inferiore prosecutor's office , sealed off a factory in Pagani, in the Salerno area, and reported the company's legal representative for manufacturing counterfeit products, a crime aggravated by the systematic nature and organization of the resources used to carry out the illicit activity.
The military of the Fiamme Gialle of the Scafati Company, through shadowing and stakeouts, managed to reconstruct the production chain of counterfeit sporting goods, identifying the illegal factory with an attached warehouse, as well as commercial establishments that sold the product at retail.
During a search, which also included the owner's home, more than 50 industrial machines were found, including sewing machines, thermal printers, overlockers, and embroiderers; and over 100 products bearing the counterfeit brand of various companies: caps, visors, heart-shaped cushions, and t-shirts.
The goods were produced with an expired and unrenewed license or, for some brands, without any license at all. The seizure involved goods that would have brought in more than 1,5 million euros on the market. Seals were also placed on the factory, the warehouse used as a warehouse and all the equipment needed to package the goods.
