Three bakeries have been closed in recent days by the Carabinieri of the NAS of Caserta following checks in the food sector, which focused on the sale of confectionery and gastronomic products typical of the Carnival festivities.

Health and hygiene inspections were carried out in various premises . In one of the bakery businesses, in the province of Caserta, the bread was baked in an oven fueled by whole pallets of wood.
In the three bakeries , more generally, the military found serious hygienic, sanitary and structural deficiencies , due to the lack of ordinary and extraordinary cleaning works , with serious damage to public health.
High fines of over 4000 euros
At the end of the inspection, the Carabinieri closed the three bakeries , whose value was approximately €1 million . Fines of over €4000 were imposed on the three businesses.
