118 and police try to get closer, but the man takes a large glass table, first threatens to throw it against the toilets and then smashes it on the ground, picks up 2 huge sharp splinters and points them at the crews. Naturally everyone takes safety outside the garden.
After several minutes of negotiations conducted masterfully by the police, they manage to approach the man, block him and sedate him. After a few minutes (time for the drug to take effect) he becomes docile and cooperative and is taken to Santa Maria delle Grazie in Pozzuoli, with 2 patrol cars as an escort.
It was later discovered that the man was in a state of agitation not due to a psychiatric pathology but rather was suffering from delusions of omnipotence due to cocaine abuse.
Luckily, no one was hurt except the driver of the medical car who received a kick in the hand.
