“This is all in the direction hoped for by Minister Piantedosi, which is to strengthen the presence of the State Police in emergency rooms.
Emergency rooms are places where people go to deal with difficult situations and therefore they must be safe places and an adequate presence of the State is essential – explains the trade unionist – Our function at hospitals alone, however, is not sufficient to fully meet the required safety needs.
To ensure adequate standards, the cooperation of the Local Health Authorities is also essential, since emergency rooms need suitable premises, cameras and the presence of security guards or private security services. Only through an integrated security path can important objectives be achieved”.
