There are 11 people investigated in four Italian regions Calabria, Campania, Piedmont and Liguria by the Juvenile Court of Catanzaro and Reggio Calabria, as part of an activity aimed at combating the trafficking of narcotic substances, such as hashish and marijuana.
The activity carried out by the Carabinieri of the Soverato Company (Catanzaro) developed in the Catanzaro municipalities of Guardavalle, Isca sullo Ionio, Montepaone, Gasperina and Montauro, Monasterace (Reggio Calabria), Serra San Bruno (Vibo Valentia), Mugnano di Napoli, Turin and Bordighera (Imperia).
The investigations concerned an alleged organization dedicated to drug trafficking, of the marijuana and hashish type, with drug dealing areas in public places in the municipalities of Soverato, drug supply channels in Guardavalle and Serra San Bruno, and storage locations in Isca sullo Ionio, Petrizzi, Serra San Bruno and Montepaone.
The alleged involvement of minors in the case investigated was reconstructed through a collaboration between the District Attorney's Office of Catanzaro and the various Juvenile Prosecutor's Offices. At the same time, 148 kg of marijuana and 2,9 kg of hashish were seized.
