The share of the final evening of the Sanremo Festival, 66%, is the highest since the 1997 final, the edition hosted by Mike Bongiorno with Piero Chiambretti and Valeria Marini, and won by Jalisse, who obtained 68,2%.

The great show made accessible to all: last night 's Sanremo Festival finale was attended by deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers. On the final night of the festival, the "Sanremo Accessibile" event was held at the Rai Production Center in Turin.

Med-El, an Austrian company and world leader in hearing solutions, provided participants with an innovative technology that allowed all hearing impaired people present to listen to music regardless of technology, brand or type of hearing loss.

The aim of the initiative is to improve everyone's life. The Lola system, developed by Med-El and Jacoti – as stated in a note – has already been used in collaboration with Rai during the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

Sanremo, thanks to Tech innovation the final evening also listened to by the deaf

Thanks to the support of Apic, the Department of Otolaryngology of the University of the City of Health and Science of Turin and Otofit Turin, the production center was set up with a completely "open" technology with very low latency times and high sound quality.

“Connecting people with hearing problems to the magic of music is part of our job,” says Gionata Conni, Marketing Manager of Med-El Italia. “Since the first cochlear implant in 1977, Med-El has been innovating its technologies and assisting each individual patient to offer hearing that is ever closer to natural hearing.

We want them to be able to appreciate every note and perceive even the smallest details of their favorite songs. Making Sanremo accessible means celebrating all the people who face deafness and giving them the opportunity to enjoy music at its best”.

The Festival final and the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 – the note continues – are just some of the events that see Med-El concretely committed to allowing those with hearing loss to participate in major musical events. The company has in fact organized the Sound Sensation Festival in Vienna, the largest musical event designed for the community of hearing implant users.

"Initiatives aimed at improving the lives of their patients - the note concludes -: music plays a very important role in the hearing rehabilitation pathways following cochlear implantation. There are now numerous scientific studies that underline how music is a speech therapy tool capable of stimulating the cognitive abilities associated with hearing, improving the results of the rehabilitation pathway after surgery".
