Great casts on the stage of the Teatro dei Piccoli in Naples on the weekend of 25 and 26 February 2023 for the repeats, respectively, of the shows “SAPIENS” and “DIVENTA RE” reserved for children (5+) and families at 11 am.

In the municipal building on Viale Usodimare, the programming curated by Casa del Contemporaneo/Le Nuvole, I Teatrini and Progetto Sonora, created in agreement with the Municipality of Naples and the management of the Mostra d'Oltremare, also continues on weekdays for primary and lower secondary school classes accompanied by their teachers.

On Saturday, February 25th, at 11:6 a.m., PRINCIPIO ATTIVO TEATRO presents a show about the encounter between Neanderthals and "SAPIENS" (ages XNUMX and up). Six actors—Dario Cadei, Silvia Lodi, Otto Marco Mercante, Cristina Mileti, Francesca Randazzo, and Giuseppe Semeraro—perform lightning-fast costume changes to recount the characteristics of the two prehistoric species in a hilarious succession of everyday situations.

"The show is very entertaining," promises Valentina Diana, author, adding, "The staging is enhanced by beautiful shadow work (by Silvio Gioia), which gives the story a wild yet poetic feel and brings a beautiful depth to the viewer's gaze. In an instant, the realization will come to them that what they've just seen isn't just a story, it's our story."

The direction is by Giuseppe Semeraro, soundtrack and music by Leone Marco Bartolo, choreographic consultancy by Barbara Toma, lighting by Davide Arsenio, costumes by Cristina Mileti and Francesca Randazzo, also author of the scenography with Dario Cadei.

On Sunday 26 February, again at 11 am, the MURICENA TEATRO company will stage an actor and character show “DIVENTA RE”, a theatrical reinterpretation of the novel “Come si diventa re” by Jan Terlouw with Monica Costigliola, Raffaele Parisi, Antonio Perna, Lucia Rocco. The protagonist, Stark, is born the same night the old king of Katoren dies. Since then, the Kingdom has been governed by ministers (Certo, Retto and Buono) who, if in their names they seem to personify all the characteristics of a good government, in reality represent the opposite to lead the young hero to failure. However, Stark will manage to complete the long journey through countries with allusive names (Decibel, Polveriera, Smog, Equilibrio, Bosco Quieto) to become first a man and then king, developing wisdom, intelligence, generosity, humility and a sense of sacrifice.

An allegorical construction in which to deal with problems that weigh on humanity today from pollution to lack of communication, from global warming to the lack of a sense of personal sacrifice for the common good. An integral part of the artistic project are the sounds of Paky Di Maio, the scenography of Monica Costigliola and Angelo De Tommaso together with the masks of Adriano Falivene and Valeria Malpeso.

On holidays, tickets cost €8 (€7 for school groups). Reservations are always required at +3270795871 3333542754 and +5 35 or info@teatrodeipiccoli.it. SPECIAL CARDS offer discounted admission (10 tickets €60 - 08118903126 tickets €XNUMX). INFO XNUMX www.teatrodeipiccoli.it
