Fire in a house near the city center: fear among residents and an elderly man transferred to hospital for burns to various parts of his body.
It happened this morning around 4am in Torre del Greco, in an apartment on the first floor of a building in Secondo Vico Cappuccini, where the flames – probably caused by a stove left on, although the police are investigating the episode – engulfed the two rooms and the kitchen, completely destroying them.
The intervention of the firefighters was providential, as they rescued an 80-year-old man, the only resident in the house. The elderly man was then transferred to the hospital with various burns on his body: he remains under observation, even if from what we understand his life is not in danger.
The firefighters then put out the fire. As a precaution, a family living on the floor above where the fire occurred was evacuated.
