They have all been annulled by the Court of Appeal of Napoli (eighth section, president Vito Maria Giorgio Purcaro), the precautionary measures issued as part of the investigation into the so-called "18App" culture bonus scam.
On February 7, the investigating judge issued three prison sentences, three house arrests, and four orders to remain in the home against the nine suspects, including the owners of a bookstore in Ercolano (Naples). At the same time, the Guardia di Finanza also seized several assets attributable to the suspects. The defense team, composed of lawyers Maurizio Capozzo and Bruno La Rosa, asked the judges to reevaluate the conduct contested by the investigators to the nine suspects from an administrative and not criminal perspective.
The reasons for the ruling will be released soon. According to investigators, all those involved in the investigation illegally monetized the culture bonuses, causing financial damage to the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (MIBACT) estimated at over €2.850.000.
The Naples Court of Review, which yesterday annulled all precautionary measures issued against the nine suspects believed to be involved in the so-called "culture bonus scam," also annulled the seizure order for €2,85 million in assets, both movable and immovable. All of the assets were therefore returned to their owners.
