The boy hit by the train was 24 years old and Ukrainian.

He was identified thanks to the cell phone he had in his pocket. A spray paint can of the kind used by writers was found near his body, and a heart was drawn on the wall nearby. From initial investigations, it is suspected he was listening to music on headphones and did not hear the train arriving.

The boy was probably busy making graffiti with spray cans along a wall adjacent to the tracks; not far from where the body was found, on the wall of a pylon there was a drawing of a heart, and it is likely that the 24-year-old did it.

What is also conceivable is that the young man was wearing headphones and was facing away when he was hit by a regional train on the Naples-Rome line via Cassino. The 24-year-old's body was torn to pieces on impact and it took the Railway Police several hours to identify him.

She was able to do so only thanks to her cell phone, through which relatives were contacted who then identified him. The Polfer has not yet traced the convoy that hit the boy, whose driver may not have noticed anything.
