In Afragola a teenager has been allegedly bullied by some of his peers for some time.
The Green-Left alliance deputy, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, denounced it, together with the municipal councilor of Afragola, Antonio Iazzetta, after the report of some residents.
“A video published on social media also bears witness to the acts of bullying, in which the boy is even seen being beaten up in the street” Borelli and Iazzetta added, specifying that they had reported the video to the authorities asking them to verify what happened.
“If it were really what was reported, it would be a very serious matter that requires immediate measures to avoid further acts of violence, but even if it were staged, it would be a worrying sign of a culture based on violence, even in videos made for social media,” continued Borrelli and Iazzetta.

And then they remember that “bullying, despite the many projects implemented in schools, also with the help of the police, is a phenomenon that is constantly growing, also because there are not many reports, both because there is a tendency to underestimate violent actions and because of the fear and embarrassment of the victims who do not realize that they have the right to all the understanding and support possible”.
"Situations like this are unfortunately commonplace in our communities and beyond. We need greater commitment from families and schools, along with other institutions, to instill healthy values in young people." declares Salvatore Iavarone, territorial representative of Europa Verde.
