Second attack in a few days against prison officers in the women's prison of Pozzuoli.

According to the unions, the attacks on the staff of the women's prison in Pozzuoli, the last one yesterday, are due to the "inappropriate management" of the joints for the protection of mental health (ATSM), because of which several policewomen had to resort to medical care.

In a joint statement, the unions SINAPPE, UIL PA, USPP, FNS CISL, CGIL FP, and CNPP denounced the "serious working conditions" faced by the prison's prison police staff, reiterating their state of unrest.

"The serious situation - explains the note - is believed to be mainly attributable to the lack of adequate organization of the mental health department, caused by the absence of specialized healthcare personnel responsible for managing the inmates held in the ATSM during the afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.

All this, it would appear, contradicts the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Management and the ASL NA 2 Nord, which provided for the presence of specialized healthcare personnel 24/XNUMX.

The unions also point out that "The repeated complaints presented by the Penitentiary Police staff serving there would be completely in vain, since the actions implemented by the institute's management would neither resolve nor alleviate the work-related difficulties faced by the Penitentiary Police staff.

This hardship is further aggravated by the serious staff shortage, which forces staff to work grueling shifts that go well beyond their scheduled hours and, often, without even being able to enjoy their expected subjective rights," the unions conclude.
