Directed by Domenico Palmiero.
The sixth performance of the season at the Teatro Jovinelli in Caiazzo will take place on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Audiences at Palazzo Mazziotti will be treated to a performance of "The Cap with Bells," Luigi Pirandello's famous play, in Eduardo De Filippo's Neapolitan translation. On stage will be Domenico Palmiero (also directing), Daniela Merenda, Mattia Serino, Nunzia D'Aiello, Salvatore Cembrola, Iris Golino, Nancy Di Maio, and Rosaria Salvano.
Taking advantage of this rare and at the same time fascinating dramatic combination, we have the opportunity to bring out the true intimacy of the characters moved on stage by an acute ambiguity that dominates all the situations that arise.

The whole thing is immersed in a deafening white, colorless, geometric and madhouse-like as the life of the protagonist Beatrice accompanied in the slow and apathetic days by the only three distractions that Caserta in the 20s could offer: liquor, a sofa and a gramophone that plays old Neapolitan songs by only female singers; disturbed melodies, at times incomprehensible. It is the insistent exterior made of shadows that wants to break into the interior, that wants to enter feelings and intimacy that do not belong to it.
All the characters recite a script that no longer suits either Ciampa or Beatrice, who, each enemy of the other, will pay a price for having worn a dress different from the one that society, rules and conventions would have wanted them to wear. It is a violent storm that breaks that apathy that leads to madness; things, words, feelings, ambiguities, conventions and clothes rain down.
