The Provincial Command of Avellino, following specific directives issued by the top body, has implemented the surveillance system of the roadside fuel distribution plants present in the Irpinia area through targeted controls on the prices practiced by them.
The Irpinia Guardia di Finanza has targeted the mandatory communications of the prices applied by type of fuel to the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, as well as the correct display to the public of the prices of the products marketed and their correspondence with those actually practiced.
Since the beginning of 2023, in continuity with the intense service action already developed last year, in conjunction with the increase in the price of gas, electricity and fuel, 178 checks have been carried out throughout the province, contesting 29 violations of the price regulations, of which 5 for failure to display and/or discrepancy between the prices practiced and those indicated and 24 for failure to communicate the prices practiced to the ministry.
In order to stem illicit conduct in the sector in question, the Guardia di Finanza Irpinia will ensure, throughout 2023, a structured and widespread enforcement activity throughout the territory, also in order to help calm price increases, dedicating all its energies to the protection of legality and the maintenance of the economic and financial security of the territory against distortions of the correct functioning of the market, to protect honest operators and citizens.
