The Carabinieri of the Operative and Radiomobile Nucleus of Montesarchio, in the province of BENEVENTOOn Tuesday, a 45-year-old man from Airola was arrested after being caught stealing from a car parked in the city center, in Montesarchio. He was noticed by the Carabinieri crew, who, passing through the area, found the young man's movements rather suspicious.
Once stopped, he was found in possession of a credit card wallet and a pair of sunglasses that the vehicle's owner, who had left the vehicle a few minutes earlier, had temporarily left inside the vehicle. The man, known to local law enforcement for similar previous convictions, was deemed responsible for aggravated theft and taken to the Montesarchio Police Station. Following the formal investigation, he was arrested and, by order of the judicial authorities, taken to his home under house arrest.
Yesterday morning, the Judge of the Benevento Court, fully agreeing with the Carabinieri's investigative findings, confirmed the arrest for theft, placing the man under house arrest.
