Hit the narcos of Castel Volturno: 77 kilograms of hashish seized. Three arrests

The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Caserta coordinated a complex operation aimed at combating drug trafficking that led to the seizure of approximately 77 kg of hashish and the arrest of three perpetrators.

The activity was carried out by the Finance Police of the Mondragone Company who, after a complex information-investigative activity carried out thanks to their constant presence on the territory, identified a property located in the Municipality of Castel Volturno used as a real drug refinery.

In fact, the subsequent search activities carried out allowed the presence of three men to be found, an Italian resident in the Municipality of Pozzuoli and two non-EU citizens from Morocco.

They were all busy preparing doses of drugs ready to be sold on the illegal market, as well as finding 77 kg of loose and already processed hashish, together with packaging material, including precision scales, a microwave oven, a blender, a container of oil and approximately 2.000 cellophane bags.

The three perpetrators were arrested and, by order of the Judicial Authority of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, transferred to the local prison.

The narcotic substance found, however, was seized, given that, once "packaged" and placed on the market, it could have generated illicit profits of around half a million euros.

The activity of the Guardia di Finanza of Mondragone demonstrates the constant commitment of the Fiamme Gialle which, also in compliance with specific directives on the technical-operational level issued by the Prefecture of Caserta and assumed at the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, has intensified the prevention and repression activity in the fight against drug trafficking, with the dual intent of protecting the health of citizens and eradicating one of the main forms of financing of organized crime.
