Conad donates 93 thousand euros to the Santobono Pausilipon Onlus Foundation

The symbolic check, for the sum of 93 thousand euros, donated by PAC 2000A Conad to the Foundation, was delivered this morning. Santobono Pausilipon Onlus to contribute to the creation of a research area at the Aorn Santobono Pausilipon Hospital in Naples.

The establishment of new laboratories will enable research into pediatric diseases and the development of experimental therapies. The funds were raised through the "With all your heart, collect gestures of love" initiative, promoted by Conad in partnership with Goofi by Egan.

"It is with great pride," said Fabio Lupo, Campania Area Director of PAC 2000A Conad, upon presenting the symbolic check, "that this year too we have chosen to make our contribution to the Santobono Pausilipon Aorn Hospital, which since its founding has carefully cared for the health of pediatric and neonatal patients, conducting important clinical and experimental research to find new treatments.

It is through collection activities like the one conducted at the end of 2022 in all Conad stores, as well as numerous other solidarity initiatives, that we concretely support the communities in which we operate, making them feel our closeness.

Our cooperative's commitment is expressed every day in simple gestures like this, made possible only by the invaluable support of our customers and members, who work every day to generate shared value for the local communities and build a better future.

The initiative, led nationwide by Conad, raised over €2,2 million to support 25 Italian hospitals' pediatric departments. The collection, consisting of 12 Goofi shoes, is made of 100% recycled ABS and designed by Italian artisans to support and promote local businesses.

This initiative is part of a project to support pediatric wards launched nationwide in December 2021, which raised €1,9 million through the "With all my heart for a great solidarity project" initiative.
