In Mergellina near Molo Luise there is a real landfill, as some citizens reported to the deputy of the Green-Left alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
On the beach there is a large pile of rubbish made up of polystyrene containers, cardboard, cans, paper, plastic and glass bottles, plastic crates and much more.
“We reported the situation to the Port Authority and requested an urgent cleanup intervention ,” declared Borrelli and the municipal councilor of Europa Verde Lorenzo Pascucci who carried out an inspection on site.
"It is absolutely intolerable that things like this continue to happen, we must take action against those responsible for this disaster. We have been calling for stringent measures against polluters and dumpers for a long time."
