Molière's seventeenth-century masterpiece returns to the stage in the version signed by Mario Autore, who writes in his notes: “Don Giovanni is the risk we all run. I see him as an inhabitant of a planet lost in the universe. Few characters in the history of literature for the stage have achieved a fame equal to his, and yet Don Giovanni continues to elude any attempt at a complete description. As much as we talk about him and discuss him, it always seems that something remains outside, that remains unexpressed.
The world of Don Giovanni seems to me a suspended world. There is an underlying nihilism that manifests the metaphysical doubt of the protagonist. His world is suspended in nothingness, in the darkness of the absence of God, the sky is continually called into question and never responds. I therefore imagine the stage space as an offshoot of the world suspended in nothingness. It is the world seen through the eyes of an extreme nihilist. The void of meaning. All the scenes, almost like paintings from a Buchnerian drama, are in my eyes didactic essays with a Brechtian flavour in which the poet delights in demonstrating all the facets of our hypocrisy”.
The fourteenth season of Teatro Civico 14 continues on March 19 with La strada by Leonardo Losavio and Roberto Galano, protagonists of a journey in blablacar, in a tangle of two opposite roads united in the sudden turn they will encounter along the way.

CHANGES/CIVIC THEATRE 14
Mutamenti/Teatro Civico 14 is a Theatre Company for new generations founded in 2005. It deals with the production of shows and the organization of events, it carries out theatre training and social theatre workshops in schools, socio-educational centres and all those entities that operate in the field of hardship such as prisons, senior centres, institutions and structures that deal with mental and motor disabilities.
He also works in the cinema sector, producing short films and documentaries.
Mutamenti has a strong civil and social commitment, and in the production of its shows it has always focused on themes that have a strong implication with contemporary reality: madness, the Camorra, media oppression without forgetting fairy tales and the world of children, with the strong belief that the education and growth of new generations necessarily passes through an immediate and significant tool such as theatre.
Since December 2009 Mutamenti has founded and managed the Teatro Civico 14, a multidisciplinary space with 80 seats. Since July 2016 he has moved all his activities to the new space he has created, Spazio X, a 600mXNUMX multidisciplinary hub also in Caserta.
International Prizes
Mutamenti has been supported by the Campania Region since 2012 as a theatrical exercise for the Teatro Civico 14, and as a theatrical production company.
Mutamenti has been recognized and supported by the MIC as a theatrical programming body since 2018.
It is also the recipient of the contribution “Residence Center for the three-year period 2022-2024” of the Campania Region with the ATS Creare Campania (of which we are members with Teatri Associati of Naples, Borderline Danza of Salerno and Consorzio Operatori dello Spettacolo of Salerno) and our residency project is called OPEN BORDERS.
