FSP Polizia: “On Napoli-Eintracht institutional short circuit…”
“The decision by which the Campania Regional Administrative Court neutralized the provision of the Prefecture of Naples in view of the Napoli-Eintracht match, and above all the timing of this intervention which will not be followed by a timely decision on the merits, show an evident institutional short circuit”, he writes Mazzetti.
“In terms of public order, this translates into an obstacle to the strategies implemented to contain these phenomena. – continues the union -. It is impossible to address certain issues in a firm and concrete manner, and the operators responsible for security will only be able to continue to pay the price for it on their own skin".
The match will be played on Wednesday 15 March, but the day before yesterday the German club filed an appeal against the decision of the Prefect then obtaining, yesterday morning, a favorable suspension, pending the final judgment set for April 4th.
Mazzetti (FSP): “If problems arise, who will pay?”
“The TAR's decision on the merits is expected once the match has been played, but if problems arise in the meantime – asks Mazzetti – How to assign the relevant responsibilities?”.
“We do not want to discuss the technical aspect of a judicial provision, but it is also true that the prognosis of the dangerousness of certain events is the sole responsibility of the public safety authority and should not be 'impeded' by further evaluations”.
"And in any case - he concludes - It would be good to ask ourselves what economic value the damages due to events that lead to violent demonstrations have and, above all, the health of the uniformed operators who have to contain them and who promptly become victims of them".
