Thursday, March 23 (show starts at 21:12 p.m., admission €20 at the box office from XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. onwards) the web phenomenon with half a million followers will perform live for the first time in a theater in Naples, presenting a show during which he will talk about how the web has changed his life. Through the monologues and sketches that have been most popular among Facebook, TikTok and Instagram users, the digital creator of Ottaviano will retrace a very personal journey backwards starting from the first great trauma of his life: the refusal to chase a “permanent job”.
“I decided to tear down the walls of my bedroom. The ones that protect me from mistakes. From criticism and insults. But also the ones that act as a shield from your laughter and your applause” – Daniele Ciniglio explains to us – “I have always believed that the profession of actor and communicator is made to unite people and over the years I have been lucky enough to unite them on the web. I know that uniting, today, is the most difficult way to be successful. But I don't want to be successful. I want to tell stories. Inside the web and from today also… “off the web”.
DANIEL CINIGLIO
Sunny, genuine and without any crazy ideas, Daniele Ciniglio is a content creator from Ottaviano, a small town in the province of Naples. Daniele won everyone over with his performance at Italia's Got Talent in March 2020, where he brought a monologue on the Camorra entitled "The Camorra is a joke", moving the audience in the room and at home. His story, however, began many years ago. A long road made of many sacrifices and renunciations. A life path that saw first a child and then a boy try his hand at what he loved most: acting.
It all started when he was a little boy and at seven years old he began performing in elementary school plays. A bit for fun, as happens to many children. In those years the teacher only made those who did well at school act, and since at that time school was his strong point, the teachers rewarded him with small roles in school plays.
The inner spark came in middle school when he had the opportunity to participate in a school project called 'Ciak si gira'. He auditioned and was chosen to be the protagonist of this short film called 'Le porte di Nico'. With that short film he won first prize in the 'School in cinema' category. That was his epiphany. Since then he has never stopped believing in his dream, that of telling stories. And to do so he chose to give himself the opportunity by opening his social channels and publishing his content there.
Every week he gives vent to his thoughts through sketches and monologues with a “bittersweet” irony. Today he has almost half a million followers and tens of millions of views and has actively collaborated with important Neapolitan and non-Neapolitan artists such as Paolo Caiazzo, Rosalia Porcaro, Antonella Arpa, Chris Clun and many others. But this is just the beginning.
