The two men were reported for receiving stolen goods and possession of false documents, but it is suspected that the sum found was the proceeds of fraud against the elderly carried out in municipalities in central or northern Italy.
In particular, officers from the Caserta Nord Traffic Police Subsection found in two cases, in addition to the large sum of money, several new telephone SIM cards, three electronic identity cards containing the personal details of different people, but with the photograph of one of the two arrested, as well as electronic Smart booklets from the Italian Post Office.
