A journey “on the road”: protagonists Manuel and Dario, two men, two worlds, two opposite roads that meet to face a journey together in blablacar, each headed towards their own goal, unaware of the sudden turn they will encounter.

The show that will be on stage at the Teatro Tram in Naples from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 March is called “La strada”: a surreal and absurd dialogue that involves the two protagonists (Leonardo Losavio and Roberto Galano, who are also, respectively, the author and director) on the stage of the hall in via Port'Alba, to whom a third party is added, the spectator.

The Foggia company “Il teatro dei Limoni” lands in Naples with this surreal comparison between personal immobility and movement, between the difficulties – universal – of making choices and the inability to fully understand their consequences.

All this with the car headlights pointed at the audience. Empathetic one, gruff the other, their meeting has to do with faith, or rather trust, and the barriers that each one raises between himself and others.

“The road as a symbol of the journey, of the inner path that, at a certain point in life, each of us feels we must face – explains Galano -. Growing up, resolving conflicts, confronting and overcoming the fears that have always gripped the human soul and forced it to remain still, immobile, waiting for something to happen. But nothing changes by remaining still. Leaving, moving, taking risks, there is no other way. What happens when the man next to you, your traveling companion, is not who he says he is? The road is a text that probes the soul using a grotesque and surreal dramaturgy and acting game, which feverishly jumps between the first person who speaks to the audience and the 'absolute' dialogue. An 'inside and outside' that does not give references but that drags and forces the spectator to be the third passenger on the journey”.
