They had introduced themselves to an eighty-year-old woman Maiori As couriers for a shipping company, they demanded the elderly woman hand over approximately €15 in cash, the sum needed to unblock the delivery of a package intended for the victim's nephew. They threatened the woman, demanding she pay the requested amount and threatening legal consequences if she failed to pay.
The two men were identified and placed under house arrest by the investigating judge of the Salerno court and executed by the Amalfi Carabinieri. They are charged with aggravated fraud.
