The President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella will be at Casal di Principe Tuesday 21 March to remember the figure of Don Peppe Diana, a priest killed by the Camorra on 19 March 1994, the 29th anniversary of which will occur in a few days.
Mayor Renato Natale announced the prestigious visit. "I recently received a phone call from the Quirinale announcing President Mattarella's visit on March 21st. This is a very important recognition for the city of Casal di Principe, reflecting the progress made in recent years. We thank the president for this," said Natale, still emotional after the call.
Meanwhile, the Don Peppe Diana Committee continues its journey toward March 19, the twenty-ninth anniversary of the young priest's murder.
"Courage, people!" is the slogan chosen for the busy schedule of meetings promoted by the Don Peppe Diana Committee, the Libera Caserta provincial coordination group, Agesci, Masci, the Diocese of Aversa, and the Municipality of Casal di Principe.
Following the art exhibition featuring more than 20 artists on femicide, it's time for a reading on women resisting the Camorra. It will be held in Casapesenna on March 8th, International Women's Day, in the confiscated property now home to a literary café run by the Meditactio cooperative.

In addition, meetings to remember the innocent victims of the mafia continue in all schools in the province of Caserta. Casal di Principe, San Marcellino, Aversa, Capua, Mondragone, Teano, Marcianise, S. Maria a Vico, Caserta, Maddaloni, Arienzo, San Felice a Cancello, are just some of the cities in which schools are carrying out research and lighting the torch of memory with the participation of the families of the victims adopted by the schools.
