Video of the single with Edoardo and the others from the series is trending.
The Mare Fuori theme song, sung everywhere, is part of the success of the TV series now in its third season. And now the new single by the same author, who in the fiction is Edoardo Conte, is also a hit: released digitally on February 24, “Origami all'alba” is by MATTEO PAOLILLO – ICARO who is climbing the music charts, positioning himself in the top 5 in the official Fimi/Gfk chart.
The song, written in collaboration with Clara Soccini and produced by Lolloflow, was previewed in the last episodes of the new season, available on demand on RaiPlay and currently on air on Rai2.
The official video of the song features the protagonists of Mare Fuori, an exceptional cast that is experiencing great popularity and on YouTube, a few hours after its publication, it has already entered the Top 10 of YouTube trends. Matteo Paolillo, 27 years old, born in Salerno, alternated acting and music as a boy: at 18 he moved to Rome where he continued his studies first at the Gianni Diotajuti theater conservatory, then graduated in 2019 at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.
His TV debut took place in 2016. In addition to acting, he approached the world of music and in particular rap, and in 2017 he founded the Suba Crew and took the name of Icaro for his musical project, to which today for the personal success in the Rai - Picomedia series (the teenager Edoardo Conte, seductive aspiring boss, detained at the Ipm of Naples) he added his name. Parallel to the 2020 series directed by Carmine Elia, he worked on his first solo EP, "Edo", delving into the world of the character he played and also in 2020 he was on TV with "Vivi e Lascia Vivere" by Pappi Corsicato and at the cinema with "Famosa" by Alessandra Mortelliti.
He is one of the most beloved faces of the series, which is currently awaiting filming of the fourth season. He sings the theme song and several soundtrack songs and has been on stage at Sanremo. “Origami all'alba” tells of a farewell, of a love that ends, of a separation for the good of those you love. This is the deepest meaning hidden behind the metaphor of dawn that inexorably gives way to sunset, making a song special and profound, which has had enormous success on social media since its first presentation.
The artist explains the concept of the video as follows: “The idea behind the music video was to tell the story of the awareness of the end of a love story, that of Matteo and Maria, who meet for the last time on the doorstep of the house they lived together in the center of Naples. Maria has returned to collect her last things, accompanied by Lorenzo, her new boyfriend. Matteo would have expected anything but this.
The bitterness of farewell turns into anger as soon as he returns to the apartment. Pillows, vases, souvenir photos, nothing is spared in the face of such great pain. After the pain, however, there is often a new beginning.
We thought of telling this story starting from the end. In fact, we liked the idea that the story ended with the melancholic embrace exchanged between the two before saying goodbye forever, almost as if to give eternity to that moment. Therefore, the video is all in reverse. The viewer gradually learns about the characters' backstory, first knowing Matteo's anger and then recognizing the reasons for it. In addition to the main cast, we included cameos by the actors of Mare Fuori throughout the video”.
